Welcome to the MAOS S.A.S. website (hereinafter, "the Clinic"). By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read this document carefully before starting any medical or dental treatment with us.
MAOS S.A.S. is a clinic specializing in medical tourism and oral rehabilitation with locations in Medellín and Bucaramanga, Colombia. Virtual consultations and diagnoses issued through photographs or X-rays sent by email are strictly guidelines and presumptive. The final treatment plan, exact costs, and medical viability can only be determined through an in-person clinical assessment at our facilities in Colombia.
According to Colombian legislation and jurisprudence (Law 35 of 1989), dentistry is considered an obligation of means. The Clinic is committed to providing you with all scientific, technological, and human resources under the highest quality standards. However, an exact or infallible result cannot be guaranteed, since the success of treatments (such as the osseointegration of dental implants) depends directly on the individual biological response of each patient.
To ensure the success of the treatment and protect your health, the patient assumes the following binding commitments:
Exemption Clause: MAOS S.A.S. will not be held liable for medical complications, loss of dental pieces, prosthesis fractures, or implant failures if it is demonstrated that such events are the direct result of patient negligence, poor hygiene, withholding of medical information, failure to comply with post-operative instructions, or accidental external trauma after the delivery of the treatment.
To schedule international treatments, a reservation deposit will be required. If the patient decides to cancel their trip, the refund will be subject to the penalties established at the time of reservation. MAOS S.A.S. assumes no economic responsibility for flight cancellations, third-party accommodation problems, border closures, or failed immigration procedures.
Before starting any clinical procedure, the patient must physically sign the Informed Consent (Law 23 of 1981), where the risks and benefits of their specific treatment will be explained in detail.
Any controversy, medical, civil, or legal dispute arising from the provision of services by MAOS S.A.S. will be governed and interpreted exclusively under the laws of the Republic of Colombia. The patient expressly agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the judges and courts of the Republic of Colombia, waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them by reason of their present or future domicile.
